Kristallnacht, also known as Night of Broken Glass, was an awful event that lead up to the concentration camps and other events during the holocaust. During Kristallnacht Jewish Businesses were ruined by the Nazis, and they were forced to pick up broken glass with their bare hands.
In 1938, German Nazis started attacking Jewish people and property. Kristallnacht actually specifically refers to the broken glass left in the streets after the event, and not the event itself. This violenced was spanned over several days (Berenbaum).
The Nazis attacked everyone and everything that was Jewish/Jewish owned. They would burn or damage more than 1,000 Jewish Synogogues, they would ransack and loot somewhere around 7,500 Jewish owned businesses, they kill, at minimum, 91 jews, and vandalised Jewish hospitals, schools, and homes (Berenbaum).
